MEDIA AND PUBLIC RELATIONS EXECUTIVE

Dave FransonDave Franson, a seasoned media and public relations executive brings a rich background of successful business development expertise to Skip Feher & Associates. He has served as the Executive Director of the Wichita Aero Club since its inception in October of 2008. And as a veteran communications executive with more than 30 years experience in the aviation industry, Dave is also President of Franson Consulting, a media and public relations firm he founded in 2004. His client list includes Avidyne Corporation, Atlantic Aviation, Bombardier Learjet, Embraer Executive Jets, Hawker Beechcraft, Honeywell Aerospace, International Communications Group, Mooney Airplane Company, Winglet Technology, and Yingling Aviation.

Prior to establishing his own company, he held a variety of aviation-related positions, including Vice President of Meetings and Membership at the National Business Aviation Association; VP of Public Affairs at Allied Signal Aerospace in Los Angeles, California; Vice President of Public Relations at Cessna Aircraft Company in Wichita, Kansas; and Director of US Public Affairs for Bombardier Aerospace.

In each of those posts, he was the senior communications officer and media spokesperson, interacting with trade and business media as well as overseeing public relations, corporate identification, and employee communications, coordination of marketing and promotional activities, and state and local government affairs.

During his tenure at the NBAA in Washington, D.C., he was responsible for managing the association’s annual meeting and convention, the largest purely business aviation event in the world. He also provided direction and oversight to the Association’s extensive membership activities.

A graduate of Wheaton College in Wheaton, Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts in Literature, Franson holds a Master of Arts in Communications from Wichita State University. He is the author of numerous articles and professional publications. He has served on the boards of directors of Learjet, Inc., Exploration Place, the Kansas Technical Training Initiative, the Greater Wichita Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Kansas Aviation Museum, and Newman University. He and his wife, Cindy, are the parents of two grown children.

Fredrick Chambers, Engineering Executive

Fredercik ChambersAs an experienced pilot and electrical engineer, Fritz brings more than 40 years of cockpit avionics and cabin IFE design and engineering experience to the SF&A team.  Over the years, Fritz held senior engineering management positions with Hughes Aircraft Company, Teledyne Systems, Vandling Corporation, Global Wulfsberg Systems, and Airshow.  His resume of achievements includes:

» Inventing and developing the first non-volatile navigation database for corporate aviation use.
» Managing several engineering departments at the executive level - responsible for avionics and cabin products design, development, and FAA approvals.
» Led the successful development of the first air-to-ground corporate aviation data link product for passenger use.
» Led the successful development of the first certified direct broadcast (DBS) TV system for corporate aviation.
» Participated as senior engineering executive on several acquisition pursuits and is experienced in both long and short term strategic planning.

Skip and Fritz have known each other since the early 1980s, and worked together over the years on numerous avionics and IFE projects. They share the same passion for excellence in their respective fields and will bring significant value to any organization seeking their expertise.
